Remember when you were young and the whole family dressed up on Sundays? After church there would be a wonderful dinner with family and all the relatives able to get there.
Sunday dinner with ham, potato salad, green beans, corn bread, collards, onions – what a feast! What was your Sunday dinner like? What Sunday dinner memories do you have?
Those memories are so dear to me. I know that the kids of today can’t imagine it, but there were no cell phones then to interfere with family togetherness. It was a special, special time.
Family memories like these fade so quickly as the generations pass. That is why photographs of these times are so important to keep family history alive. Sadly, however, photographs are also like memories and some begin to fade quickly, especially when they are not cared for properly.
Before your memories fade, make sure your photographs are kept in a climate controlled atmosphere. That is key! Please get those old family pictures out of the attic or basement while they can still be saved!
